Rye flour is used for breads, and uses yeast for the leavening agent. Because of its low protein, it is rarely used alone, but requires the use of a white bread flour added.

Great place to get specialty flour
Rye flour is hard to find in regular stores. Weisenberger Mills has always had it in stock whenever I have needed it. Online purchasing works great. I usually pick it up at their store the next morning. Makes excellent rye bread.
I love their setting as well. It is a great drive to get some great flour.

I made a loaf of Rye/Whole Wheat bread with caraway seeds. It was so very good! My husband loved it too. I’m always happy with Weisenberger Mill flour. I have it shipped to me because it’s better than I can find around here on the grocery shelves.
